Originally written in 1939 for the enthronement ceremony of the 14th Dalai Lama, the Tibetan title of this long-life prayer is: srid-zhi'i gtsuk'rgyan gong-sa lha-mi'i rnam-'dren sku-'phreng bcu-bzhi-pa chen-po'i zhabs-brtan gsol-'debs yid-bzhin dbang gi rgyal-po zhes bya-ba bzhugs-so. The present edition includes a Translators' Foreword, a preface by Ven. Jigdal Dagchen Sakya Rinpoche, and both the Tibetan text and the English translation.
